Google Play Store will use artificial intelligence.

Google Play Store will start summarizing user reviews using artificial intelligence. This innovation has pleased many people.

Google has gradually rolled out a new artificial intelligence feature for its Android app marketplace, the Google Play Store. This update allows user reviews to be summarized into a single paragraph. The summary appears in the “User ratings and reviews” section under the heading “What users are saying.”

Play Store embraces AI
The new system becomes active for apps that have collected a certain number of reviews. However, Google has not officially disclosed the minimum number of reviews required for this summarization feature to be enabled.

This AI-generated summary combines the most frequently mentioned positive and negative aspects of an app into a concise paragraph. Just below the summary, there are quick-access buttons that allow users to jump directly to real user reviews related to the mentioned topics. This feature makes it easier for users to get a general idea about an app at a glance.

Google officials have confirmed that this summarization feature has been in testing for over a year. After completing the trial phase, the feature is now being rolled out to a wider base of Android users. Rival company Apple introduced a similar feature to iOS users on the App Store back in April. With this move, Google aims to speed up users’ access to information and enhance the overall app store experience.
