Major Crisis at Remedy!

Remedy Entertainment’s sales fell short of expectations due to FBC: Firebreak. Despite this, the company has set ambitious goals for 2030.

Remedy Entertainment’s sales fell short of expectations in the third quarter of 2025. Financial reports indicate a challenging period for the studio, particularly due to the underperformance of FBC: Firebreak. Nevertheless, the Finnish studio remains ambitious, aiming for “significant commercial success” by 2030.

Impact of FBC: Firebreak on Remedy Entertainment’s Sales

Remedy Entertainment released its Q3 2025 financial report this morning, which contained rather disappointing news for the studio. Earlier this month, CEO Tero Virtala stepped down after informing investors that FBC: Firebreak had failed. In this quarter, which also marked the company’s 30th anniversary, the financial indicators appeared quite negative.

Confidence Restored by Interim CEO

The company’s cash flow rose to €11.3 million (up from €8.0 million). However, interim CEO Markus Mäki reassured investors and fans. Mäki stated that, despite the challenges with FBC: Firebreak, other projects are progressing according to plan. He also added, “We are not satisfied with the recent financial performance, but we are confident that we will return to profitability.”

Remedy’s 2027 and 2030 Goals

Remedy has set ambitious financial targets for the future. The company aims to double its revenue by 2027 compared to last year. After reaching this milestone, it plans to maintain steady growth. Additionally, achieving at least a 30% EBITDA margin by 2027 is also among its objectives.
